INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the Museum of the Old L’viv.
Our museum is the second of the eight museums being created in different cities of Ukraine within the large-scale nationwide project under the brand of the “Making of the Ukrainian Nation”.
Our media-guide will take you to a journey through centuries, that will last one hour. You will plunge into the atmosphere of different periods in the life of L’viv and its people, when the city was a part of different countries and states.
All exhibits were created based on comprehensive historical studies. We were advised by a large team of scholars and experts from Ukraine and Poland.
For your convenience, to help you better understand and appreciate all the stories, we recommend the following:
- Start the tour with the Scene Description. This will give you a general idea of the whole story and historic figures shown in the scene.
- Use information boards, monitors and touchscreens.
- After a specific media-guide story is finished, please, press the Address button to listen to a short speech of the historic character.
- We appreciate if you do not touch the figures to avoid their damage.
- You are welcome to take photos of all exhibits, as well as shoot videos for your personal use.
